Weekend at the Beach - Part Two

Sorry for the delay in posting. Life seems to be running away from me these days. Anyway, back to the story about our weekend at the beach. Saturday night we all celebrated my dad's birthday. Here are some pictures.

Sunday morning started early for Claire and I - 4:30 to be exact. I don't know why Claire decided to wake up that early, but despite all of my best efforts, I couldn't convince her to go back so sleep, and so started our day. Most people who know me know that I LOVE sleep (a little too much at times). Therefore, I was not functioning quite well that day. However, we still managed to have a little fun. Here is Claire and Aunt Stacy with a bubble gun:

We finally ventured to the beach (I know, the whole reason why we went away for the weekend). Not knowing how Claire was going to like the beach - especially the sand, we walked down to the beach with our sandcastle molds and shovel. Surprisingly, Claire loved it! Every previous beach trip was a bust because she hated the sand. She would refuse to even stand on it. However, she finally decided to turn the corner and accept that the beach is fun afterall. Here are the pictures to prove it:

Sunday afternoon and evening, everyone left for home except Debbie, Claire and I. So the three of us went to a fun playground Sunday evening.

We are so glad you like the sand now Claire!! You still looked a little "dainty" I think your cousins will have to give you some lessons. Getting dirty is fun too! :)
